The team were tasked with the PR launch of his long-awaited autobiography ‘I Wanna Be Yours’ after successfully managing his personal publicity for a number of years.

What we did

SH Comms devised and produced a Covid-friendly live streamed global event securing virtual guest appearances from high profile celebrities including Paul McCartney to promote the launch of his memoir with a bang.

Results

Hundreds of pieces of media coverage were generated across TV, national and podcast media. John appeared on shows as iconic as BBC’s Desert Island Discs as well as Newsnight, Loose Ends and Channel 4’s 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.

The buzz achieved around the launch resulted in the memoir reaching number 19 in the UK charts.
